Securing our district's future prosperity - have your say

Harrogate Borough Council is prepariHBC Logong an Economic Development Strategy for 2010-2015 and would like to hear what you think.

The aim of the document is to provide a succinct overview of the Council's strategic objectives for protecting and maintaining our economy through this period of recession as well as for ensuring the continued generation of wealth, investment and jobs for the Harrogate district in the future.

New guide to government-funded business support

Improving your company's environmental performance

The North Yorkshire sub regional Green Business Club is now up and running and is hosting a free event in Harrogate in February. The event is designed for local businesses interested in their environmental performance and who would like to hear from business support providers about the support and funding available and how to access it.

Supporting and inspiring the food industry in our region

North Yorkshire's Food Business Week is taking place between 2nd and 11th February 2010. Organised by Business Link Yorkshire in association with the Regional Food Group, the week will feature a series of free workshops and events designed to support and inspire the food industry in the region.

Yorkshire businesses offered discount for government backed advice scheme

Businesses in Yorkshire are being offered discounts on tailored advice about employment and health and safety law. A £50 discount on Insured Advice is available for small and medium enterprises as part of a pilot scheme by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Insured Advice gives you access to clear, practical advice based on your business's unique circumstances and can give you confidence that you are meeting your legal obligations.

The discounts are being allocated on a first come, first served basis so register now!
