Sites and Policies DPD - Urban Areas Consultation

The Urban Areas Consultation took place between 9 September and 4 November 2011. This consultation is now closed.

The purpose of the district-wide public consultation was to obtain views on:
Preferred site options for growth in Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon; and
district-wide policies for managing development.

At this stage no decisions have been made, responses to this consultation, along with responses
received to the Rural Areas Consultation (2010), will be considered before the Council puts together
the draft plan in March 2012, at which point you will have further opportunity to comment.

Sites for growth and policies, along with the Proposals Map, will be contained in the Sites and Policies
Development Plan Document (DPD).  The Sites and Policies DPD (scheduled for adoption in 2013),
along with the Council’s adopted Core Strategy, will replace the Harrogate District Local Plan.
