Community Grants & Development

The Leisure Development Team provides a range of support and advice to voluntary sector groups, sports clubs, village halls and parish councils on potential funding streams and project planning schemes. The team is responsible for:

Voluntary Sector liaison for sports clubs' capital schemes
Capital projects for all council Sport and Leisure schemes
Management and implementation of the Harrogate District Playing Pitch Strategy
Development of the Harrogate District Sport and Leisure Facilities Strategy
Linking with Lottery funding
Help and advice to Community Groups (see project planning)
Funding advice to Voluntary Sector Groups i.e. General, Funder Finder, E-newsletter
Funding related training i.e. Awards for All, Project Development Workshops, Meet the Funder, Event Management
Support and guidance to Village Halls including a Village Hall get together.
Grant Administration i.e. Centenary Project, Starbeck Community Fund and Arts & Heritage Grants.
Harrogate Borough Council Project Support and Research

Also Voluntary and Community Sector Support including Harrogate Borough Councils Community Chest Fund.
