Planting and Sponsorship Schemes

Trees in Memoriam Scheme
The Council works closely with the Rotary Club of Harrogate on the purchasing, planting and dedicating of trees for memorial purposes. The Council will purchase trees and plant them in areas that have been pre-designated as suitable sites for this type of scheme. The Rotary Club of Harrogate will then sell these trees on behalf of the Council, with any money generated going back into the scheme, enabling future trees to be planted in other locations.

The Council undertakes, or is involved with, planting schemes as part of National Tree Week, which normally takes place between late November and early December each year.

is always looking for schemes or events to advise on or oversee in relation to National Tree Week. This occurs between 22 November and 3 December each year.
