Harrogate Lifeline Service
Harrogate Lifeline Service
Our Community Alarm Service is known as Harrogate Lifeline Service, an emergency alarm and monitoring service provided to enable older vulnerable people to continue to live in their own homes with greater confidence no matter where they live and irrespective of their tenure.
We provide a lifeline unit, installed by a Floating Support Warden, which plugs into the home telephone point and personal alarm pendant to be worn around the neck or clipped onto clothing.
We offer two levels of service dependant on your support needs.
- Level 1- a monthly welfare visit by a Floating Support Warden and emergency response
- Level 2 a weekly welfare visit by a Floating Support Warden and emergency response.
A team of professional, friendly staff at the Call centre answer the calls and arrange the most appropriate help depending on the nature of your emergency or problem.
The Floating Support Service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
This is flexible support and if your personal circumstances change, the Floating Support Warden will carry out reassessment of needs and support requirements.
There is a charge for these levels of service, funding is available for people in receipt of Housing Benefit or if you are on a limited income you could apply for a Financial Assessment.
