Neighbour mediation is a free and confidential service that is available to all residents in the Harrogate District.
Mediation is a way of sorting out differences between people without involving council officials, the police, solicitors or the court.
The process uses specially trained, independent, non-legal volunteers who listen to both sides of the dispute and help people involved to reach agreements between themselves.

We can help you with any neighbour issue including:
- Noise nuisance of every kind
- Anti-social behaviour
- Children's and teenagers' behaviour
- Verbal abuse, intimidation and harrassment
- Nuisance caused by pets
- Parking and car repairs
- Boundary, hedge and tree disputes.
ARCH Family Mediation Service
ARCH Mediation also offers an inter-generational family mediation to help to resolve disputes between 15 to 17 year olds and their families, where the disputes may result in the young person being homeless or potentially homeless.
We aim to improve relationships between the young person and their family and help them to agree how best they can live together and communicate with each other in future. We want to prevent youth homelessness and ensure that families continue to support young people during their teenage years.
We also provide a workplace mediation service and undertake sessions in schools regarding housing and youth homelessness. For more details please contact us.
