The Harrogate district has an abundance of green space. As gold medal winner of Europe in Bloom in 2004, its environmental management is renowned.

A wide variety of parks, gardens and open spaces offer landscaped areas, floral beds, nature trails or green open space for relaxation or play. Our parks also offer a range of events and activities,  including Starbeck Gala, The Big Picnic and the ever-popular Bonfire on the Stray on Saturday 5 November 2011
