Parks and Recreation

The Harrogate district has an abundance of green space. As gold medal winner of Europe in Bloom in 2004, its environmental management is renowned.

A wide variety of parks, gardens and open spaces offer landscaped areas, floral beds, nature trails or green open space for relaxation or play. Our parks also offer a range of events and activities,  including Starbeck Gala, The Big Picnic and the ever-popular annual Bonfire on the Stray in November.

Games in Parks Survey 2012
We offer lots of different games and activities in our parks such as crazy golf, tennis and pitch and putt. We want to keep improving what we offer so that you and the kids don’t get bored! Maybe you’ve never played in our parks or perhaps you’ve given one or two things a go but haven’t been back for a while. Or are you a ‘regular’?

We’d love to hear what you think about the games and how we might make improvements, so please find a moment to complete our survey.

The closing date is 5 October, so you have the whole summer to try them out!

For further information about when and where Games are available in Parks see our leaflet.
