Planning For The District To 2021: The Future Of Your Town Or Village
HARROGATE'S
planning chiefs are urging those with an interest in how the district should be developed over the next two decades to attend a series of information workshops which are being held around the district over the coming months.
The Harrogate District Local Plan is being reviewed and re-formed into a new style Local Development Framework (LDF) for the district.
Creating an LDF for the district is a requirement under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
The council has invited groups such as parish councils, local businesses and community groups to attend these workshops.
But the council's planning team would also like to invite interested individuals to attend.
David Sykes, the council's Planning Policy Manager, said:
"These workshops are an important part of our ongoing involvement with the district's communities about the choices which are available for the future development of their area.
The workshops will start people thinking about some of the planning issues which will arise in seeking to provide for locally needed homes, jobs and other development up to the year 2021.
The workshops, which will all start at 6.45 pm will be held as follows:
Thurs. 14 April
Harrogate Sun Pavilion, Cornwall Road
Thurs. 21 April
