Discounted home insulation
Provided that your home is structurally suitable, all residents can get free insulation, even if you do not receive any benefits. The type of insulation will depend whether your property is suitable, and a free survey can be carried out. Warm Front grant
Some people are eligible for the government’s Warm Front grant. This grant is aimed at people who have a low income and live in homes without insulation and/or without a working central heating system.
If you own your home or rent privately and you or your spouse receive certain benefits you may be eligible. Your home also needs to have a low energy efficiency score, which is worked out by doing a free survey of your home.
If you are entitled to the Cold Weather Payment and your home is not already energy efficient, you are likely to qualify for a Warm Front grant.
