Harrogate Borough Council is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the
'Working for your Business Award - celebrating business success in the Harrogate district'
Harrogate Borough Council (HBC) has been a big supporter of the business awards since the launch back in 2006 and is pleased to be continuing our sponsorship this year through the HBC ‘Working for your Business’ Award. Presented by the Mayor of the Borough of Harrogate, this special award brings a touch of civic splendour to the Ackrill Media Group Business Awards 2011 - 2012.
Support for businesses is a key part of the Councils top corporate priority – A Strong Local Economy. Through our ‘Working for your Business’ initiative we aim to make it easier for local businesses to start up and grow in the Harrogate district.
Successful businesses help create a successful economy, and the Ackrill Media Group Business Awards are all about celebrating local business success. We want to focus our award this year on recognising those companies who have done something special to achieve that business success despite the challenging economic times.
Has your business overcome adversity to succeed? Have you had to diversify your business or products to meet changing customer demands, or find innovative ways to re-brand or market your business in order to get new customers? Has your business been creating jobs through the recession or helping people in to work through apprenticeships or work placements? Have you started a successful business after being made redundant from your own job?
