Supporting Bike Week 2005
The UK's annual event, which celebrates cycling, will be held 11

th June this year.
Harrogate Borough Council, Open Country and the Harrogate Cycling Group will be working together to promote and encourage 'everyday cycling for everyday fitness' in the Harrogate district.
Cycling is a healthy, pleasant non-polluting and affordable way of getting around, so why not take part in the variety of events during this special week.
Events include:
Wednesday 15

Harrogate Cycle Network A gentle cycle ride around Harrogate to look at recent improvements to the cycling provision in the area.
Meet Bill Whale outside Harrogate library, Victoria Avenue at 6.30pm.
Saturday 18
th
Try a Bike!
A chance to try out some of the huge range of cycles now available trikes, tandems, trailer bikes and child buggies for those with small children, recumbents and adapted bikes for people with disabilities. At midday, cyclists are able to join us for a four-mile ride around local cycle paths and minor roads. Meet in the corner of ASDA lorry park, Dragon Road 10am 4pm.
