Contracts Register

The Council's Contracts Register details all current contracts that Harrogate Borough Council holds.

The following current contract opportunities are available:

Fully comprehensive Lift Maintenance contract covering various lifts within the Harrogate Borough Council properties.

Ripon Cemetery extension - Works will be focused around a site in Ripon, which is located approximately half a mile away from the existing cemetery site. The main proportion of the work will consist of ground works, drainage installation, and provision of highways/pavements. Additional elements of the contract include seeding and planting, erection of boundary structures and installation of utilities.

Harrogate International Centre (owned by Harrogate Borough Council) wishes to develop a new business model for the Centre and as part of that model, contract for the following services:-

  • Cleaning  - To include three elements: regular scheduled cleaning including periodic “deep cleaning”; increased level of cleaning during event periods; provision of an exhibition cleaning service to event organisers to increase event income. This is one element in a programme to establish the new business model for the Harrogate International Centre.
  • Security - To include daytime patrolling, overnight security cover, CCTV monitoring, patrolling security and fire warden cover during events, emergency response and first aid, traffic marshalling and event guarding. It is anticipated that there will be other security services to event organisers to increase event income.
  • Stewarding and Portering - The service needs to be flexible to meet the variable demands of the industry. To include front of house services at events, movement and placing of furniture for events and general requirements at the venue, fire checks prior to openings and management of evacuations. The stewarding operation required needs to be customer focussed depending on the specific nature of the event - conference, exhibition or entertainment; this will be “softer” in nature than would normally be expected of a manned guarding service.
  • Technical - The service, either let in whole or part, needs to be flexible to meet the variable demands of the industry. There are five main elements to the service required, these being development of technical solutions for clients, technical planning, an inclusive package of technical support and equipment included in the venue rental of the Main Auditorium,  ICT services based on customer needs and exhibition service including shell scheme and electrical.
