Harrogate District Unemployment Claimant Rate (JSA*) - May 2011

The district's unemployment claimant rate remained unchanged between April and May, staying at 1.9%.  The same is seen across the North Yorkshire districts, with only Scarborough seeing a 0.1% reduction and all other areas maintaining the same claimant rate.

An annual comparison of claimant rates shows a decrease of 1.9% or 36 claimants. This compares to a North Yorkshire County average of a 4.7% reduction.
