Knaresborough Riverside - Viaduct Terrace

Renaissance Knaresborough worked alongside Harrogate Borough Council to complete the re-development of Viaduct Terrace on Knaresborough riverside.

 

A key objective of the redevelopment work was to open up the views of the river and provide new seating from which to enjoy the views and the riverside environment.  

 

The £150,000 project has been completed with financial support from Yorkshire Forward's Renaissance Market Town programme and is part of the wider 'Improving the Offer' initiative for Knaresborough and Boroughbridge.

 

The terrace also includes Interpretive information about the riverside, its environment and history, providing additional interest and information for visitors.

 

T he terrace was officially opened on 27 ^th April 2009 by the Mayor of Knaresborough and Gordon Renton, Chair of Renaissance Knaresborough.
