10 June 2008
- A public meeting is to be held in Harrogate on 25 June to discuss the location for a skate park in the town.
Sites for a skate park in Harrogate continue to be explored as Harrogate Borough Council undertook to look again at all the sites it had previously investigated.
This undertaking was made at a public meeting held in March as part of the consultation process on a possible location at Stonefall Park, off Wetherby Road.
There is some local opposition to this proposal and the council promised to consider again previous suggested sites as well as any new ones.
The results of this further consultation will be considered at the public meeting which is being held in the Promenade Suite of the Cairn Hotel, Ripon Road, Harrogate at 7.00 pm on Wednesday 25 June.
The council is inviting everyone with an interest to attend.
All comments will be reported to the council's Cabinet in July.
