New film and video works from the Arts Council Collection, Mercer Gallery, Harrogate

 

 

 

Where? Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate

 

When? 10 January to 22 February 2009

 

In this new touring show from the Arts Council Collection, Now Showing features six artists and six works that draw on a wide range of influences including home movies, news media, archive footage, TV documentary and mainstream cinema.

 

The exhibition is a new format for a touring exhibition and will feature a different projection each week for six weeks, encouraging repeat visits and adding up to a thoughtful insight into current practice in this medium.

 

All works are new acquisitions by the Arts Council Collection. The exhibiting artists are Luke Fowler, Idris Khan, Mark Lewis, Rosalind Nashashibi, The Otolith Group and Mark Boulos.
