Weeton Parish Council
Location?
We are located in the District of Harrogate and the County of North Yorkshire. Situated on the A658 Harrogate to Leeds Road.
The Stone signs located on the roads passing through the Parish are found bearing the names of Huby and Weeton. These signs are the property of the Parish Council.
Huby and Weeton have the Railway Station of Weeton located between them.

Meetings
Meetings are open to the public and take place every two months in January, March, May, July, September and November. They usually commence at 7.30pm in Almscliffe Hall on the second Tuesday in the month, subject to alteration due to holidays.
Notices are posted three days before the meeting. Details of meetings and the agendas are posted on the Parish Council Notice Boards, located on the A658 at Strait Lane corner, at the Huby Chapel, at the bottom of Crag Lane, on the Almscliffe Hall Notice Board, and adjacent to Weeton Village Green on Main Street.
Speaking at meetings
Parishioners are permitted to attend Parish Council Meetings and the standing orders allow Parishioners to speak for three minutes on a subject ie planning application, or correspondence that has been previously notified to the Council and appears on the agenda, subject to the discretion of the chairman.
Documents
Copies of the agenda, last meeting minutes and financial report are all available at Parish Council.
Hard copies of the Standing Orders, Financial Regulations/Risk Assessments are available to copy by residents at the meetings of the Council, subject to prior notice being given to the Clerk. A copy of the year end accounts is posted on the Almscliffe Hall Notice board along with the external auditors report. Copies of the precept requirements are available at the meeting following the January meeting and are incorporated in the minutes of that meeting.
The Harrogate Borough Council annual Council Tax Invoice issued to residents also shows the amount precepted by the Parish Council.
Councillors' declarations and interests forms are lodged with the Standards Officer at the Borough Council.
Parish Council assets or property as specified by the Audit Commission regulations are insured under the Council's Policy and a list of this property in a hard copy form is available at Parish Council Meetings, provided prior notice is given to the Clerk.
