Yorkshire Forward's new Renaissance Market Town Programme
Knaresborough has been selected as a Priority 1 town to continue under Yorkshire Forward's new Renaissance Market Town Programme. This means that
Yorkshire Forward will continue to support major investment in Knaresborough along with the other five towns selected to continue under the Renaissance Market Town Programme, plus a delegated fund of up to £10,000 per year will be available.
A requirement from Yorkshire Forward is they want to see Local Authorities investing in the projects which the Town's are requesting their own funding.
The investment in the above market towns over the next five years is around £6.5m.
Yorkshire Forward's Renaissance Market Town Delegated Fund
Pateley Bridge and Boroughbridge, have
been identified for support through a Yorkshire Forward 'delegated fund' of up to £30,000 per annum, for 3 years.
It is likely to be administered by NYCC at sub regional level and be similar to the old Rural Target Fund initiative.
The fund will be
available to support smaller activity, h
owever YF are looking for more direct economic outputs.
Any funding applied for will need to be matched locally.
