Create your own mini-costumes, Wednesday 29 July between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
Using the art on show in the wonderful portraits by Marianne Stokes at the gallery, just drop-in to create your own mini-costumes with a variety of fabric and materials.

The Glittering Eye of Ancient Egypt, Thursday 30 July at 2pm.
Step back in time with children's author, L J Adlington, at the Mercer Art Gallery as she delves into the mysteries of Ancient Egypt in a hands-on presentation with Ancient Egyptian objects and introducing her new book for older children,
. This event is free and includes entry to the Royal Pump Room Museum to see the Egyptian exhibition. Booking in advance advised.
The author will be signing purchased books.
Landscape collage workshop, Thursday 6 August from 2pm 3.30pm.
Using Adrian Stokes' landscape paintings from all over Europe to inspire your own landscape collage,
using a variety of materials such as buttons, pipe-cleaners, stamps and ribbons.
Please book in advance, £3 per child.

Twlight tour of Knaresborough Castle, Wednesday 29 July at 7.30pm.
Discover the dark secrets and colourful history of Knaresborough Castle.
Visit the King's Chamber, dungeon and secret underground exit whilst hearing all about the famous residents and spooky tales of the Castle.
Tickets from £1.50 - £4.
Local finds identification day at Knaresborough Castle, Saturday 1 August between 11am and 3pm.
Dave Evans from the Yorkshire Museum will be on hand to identify and record your archaeology finds from your garden.
Organised by CLARO Archaeology group who are currently working in Scriven.
