Community groups invited to meet the national funders

Harrogate Borough Council is holding a number of workshops for community groups during September offering them the opportunity to 'meet the national funder' or just to get help and advice on how to go about applying for a grant.
All workshops are free and offer a great opportunity for groups to learn more about different funding streams that may be open to them.
Title: Developing your Capital Projects
Date: 09/09/09
Time: 2-4pm
Venue: The Hydro Sport and Leisure Centre, off Jennyfield Drive, Harrogate
This workshop will look at sporting and leisure capital projects and cover project development and funding issues.
You will be asked to fill in a pre-application form prior to the workshop.
Title: Big Lottery awareness briefing
Date: 14/09/09
Time: 3-5pm
Venue: Council Offices, Crescent Gardens, Harrogate
The Big Lottery staff from Leeds will deliver this session.
They will provide information via a presentation on all the open grants, namely the new Awards for All process, Reaching Communities and the Changing Places funding programmes.
This will provide a brilliant chance for you to find out more about the Big Lottery community funding schemes.

Have you always wondered how to collate record and present your club/group's annual accounts? This workshop will draw on the knowledge of an accountant who will explain the ins and outs of club accounting.
