Half term events at Harrogate museums
Hear spooky stories and join in The Big Draw with Harrogate Museums and Art this half-term
Now, and throughout half-term, you can join in The Campaign for Drawing's
The Big Draw at the Mercer Art Gallery.
This is a national month-long celebration of drawing for all ages and abilities.
It's the 10
th year of
The Big Draw so we want you design a birthday cake and we'll display it during the holidays in the gallery.
On Wednesday 28
th October join local children's author, Penny Dolan,
for some shiveringly spooky stories inspired by ancient objects at the Royal Pump Room Museum.
Hear strange tales from past times and long ago places!
Storytelling sessions will be held at 2pm and 3.30pm and cost £1.50 per child (adults go free, 1 per child).
On Thursday 29
th October between 11.30am and 4.00pm join in our drawing activities at the Mercer Art Gallery.
Fill in the quirky frame with your own or someone else's portrait, draw your future job or favourite pastime, and create some spooky decorations for Halloween.
Just drop in anytime during the afternoon to have a go, all for free.
For all events, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
