Local Planning and Design Guidance
This guidance supplements planning policies and proposals where more detail is needed on how policies operate or how site proposals might be developed: Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) and Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) undergo extensive public consultation prior to publication and relate directly to Development Plan policies. Other planning guidance has been published and is referred to as OPG.
Where relevant, this planning guidance is taken into account in the Council's decision-making on planning applications. The guidance is listed below under the most appropriate themes as set out in the Local Development Framework.

Marton cum Grafton Village Design Statement (1Mb) approved by the Cabinet Member (Planning, Transport and Economic Development) on 2 November 2011 as Supplementary Planning Guidance subject to minor changes ie amending the text from 'SPD' to 'SPG' and to include a replacement Appendix 1 to include up to date local planning policies.
