Come into The Secret Garden at the Mercer Art Gallery, our exciting exhibition inspired by the classic children's book. Enjoy our garden play area at the front of the gallery where there are flowers, animals and activities and a trail to follow the robin around the gallery.  

 

On Thursday 3 ^rd June at 1.30pm join in our Secret Garden storytelling event.   Starting at Harrogate Library hear some Spring-inspired stories.   Then enjoy a flower hunt from the library to the Mercer Art Gallery.   At the gallery hear excerpts of The Secret Garden before a visit to Valley Gardens to see the new allotment and do some planting.   Free but places are limited so please book via the library on 0845 034 9520.

 

And Digger's monthly Saturday Club will be taking place from 11am until 12.15pm on Saturday 6 ^th June at the gallery.   Drop-in to join the club and join in our arts and craft activities, just £1 per go.

 

At the Royal Pump Room Museum you can take a journey to many parts of the world in our exhibition Well Travelled.   See all sorts of objects that have made their way to Harrogate such as African masks, Mexican dolls, Chinese shoes, Danish Christmas cards, and souvenirs and costume.   Pick up a passport and follow our Little Gem Adventurers around the exhibition.

And don't forget to enjoy the Spring at Knaresborough Castle and Museum. Explore the King's Tower, the dungeon and creep through the underground sallyport on a guided tour.   Discover the colourful characters from Knaresborough's past and what life was like in a Castle in the Museum.   Help the Prisoner escape in our exciting new computer game where you must solve the puzzles around the Castle to get back to your own time!   Knaresborough Castle is open daily from 10.30am until 5pm.

 

On Wednesday 2 ^nd June drop in between 2pm and 4pm to our arts and crafts workshop at the Castle , just £1 a go.   Make Tudor ruffs, crowns, shields or try some painting.
