RSPCA - if you suspect an animal is being cruelly treated, then contact the RSPCA on their 24 hour cruelty advice hotline on 0300 1234 999.

DEFRA - has formal links to North Yorkshire County Council and enforces the welfare and health of farm animals. This includes ill treatment during transport and at markets etc.

North Yorkshire County Council - controls animal movement and issues licences for this.

North Yorkshire Police - to report a dangerous or aggressive dog,
contact 101.
