Business Rates
Business rates - account enquiries
Business rates (also known as national non-domestic rates), are the way that businesses contribute to the cost of local services.
Debit and credit card payments for most council services can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by using our online payment facility or telephoning our payment line on 0845 129 55 99.
Latest News:
Deferred business rates scheme - the Government has put in place a business rates deferral scheme to give you the option of spreading part of the Retail Price Index (RPI) increase in your 2012/13 bill over three years. You can defer 3.2% of your total bill - which is equivalent to 60% of the RPI increase - until 2013/14 and 2014/15.
Small business rate relief - the
temporary increase in the level of small business rate relief has been extended until 31 March 2013. If you currently receive relief you do not need to contact us; your annual bill for 2012/13 will reflect the increase.
