The district has a range of markets. These include:
Ripon & Knaresborough markets
Colourful outdoor markets with over 100 stalls located in the City/Town centres, the markets offer all the convenience of an outdoor market, selling everything you can think of.
Every Thursday you can browse the colourful open air market in Ripon's Market Place in the heart of the city. The market features excellent fruit and vegetable stalls, fine cheeses, sweets, health foods and baking products and a great range of seasonal bedding plants, shrubs and vegetable seedlings, top quality fresh cut flowers and bouquets.
A wide range of craft items is available alongside fabrics and wool. You can browse office stationery, storage solutions and a framing service stall with a large selection of frames and mounts all made to your special requirements; and we have amazing watches from as little as £5.00 and electricals at a fraction of high street costs.
And there are some great fashion stalls for men and ladies selling high-quality clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories.
There are toy stalls too with novelty toys such as flying helicopters and traditional woodens toys, puzzles and games and if you have a pet, why not pamper your it with some treats or toys from the pet stall.

Both markets start at 8.30 am and run until around 4 pm (depending on the weather!)
