Over the years, air quality has improved in the UK due to the Government's National Air Quality Strategy, which set standards and objectives for pollutants that are known to impact negatively on the health of the population and the environment. |
What are we doing in the Harrogate District?
Under the Local Air Quality Management system, we assess the outside air quality within the Harrogate District, making sure the seven key pollutant concentrations measured do not exceed the nationally-agreed air quality objectives.
