Harrogate Borough Council is committed to preventing and detecting benefit fraud and prosecuting offenders who target the benefit schemes.
The council has a dedicated team of fraud officers who thoroughly investigate suspected cases of benefit fraud. The council's fraud Investigators and North Yorkshire Police work actively, in partnership, to pursue serious offences through the criminal courts.
