The Committee structure consists of three committees:

Planning Committee
The Planning Committee covers the whole district and determines all types of planning applications and approves site specific Supplementary Planning Documents.
The Committee meets every two weeks on a Tuesday at 2pm.
The agenda will be available 7 days prior to the meeting and will include the Minutes of the previous meeting, ie 7 days after that meeting.

Availability of the Committee Information service will be limited over the weekend of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September 2008. This is to allow essential maintenance work to take place. Normal service will be resumed on Monday 8th September.
District Development Sub-Committee
This committee determines applications which have been referred to it by the Planning Committee or the Solicitor to the Council or if the application is considered to be of District-wide importance. It also acts as a consultation and advisory body on the formulation of Local Development Documents and is a Steering Committee for Member training on planning matters.
This Committee meets only when required.

District Development Committee
This committee approves development plan policy and proposals for consultation and adoption. It also approves the Council's response to consultations on the Regional Spatial Strategy and development plan policy prepared by other authorities.
This Committee meets only when required.

The above Committee structure replaced the one described below on 31 October 2005. One final meeting of each area committee took place on 8 November 2005. You can view the agendas using the links below.

has no fixed meeting dates and is only held if an application of district-wide importance needs to be determined.
