Sport & Leisure Centres

At all our Leisure Centres

• For safety, supervision of numbers, and to comply with the Children Act 2004, children must be registered when they attend activities at our Leisure Centres. A registration form must be completed with children's details, emergency contact numbers and any medical information. It is important that these details are up to date.
• Please ensure that your child has a place on their chosen leisure activity before you leave the venue and that staff are aware of collection arrangements. 
• If your child requires any drinks or snacks, they will need to bring them along to the activity session as we are able to provide only drinking water.
• Please note - our staff are unable to administer medication or provide intimate care.

To ensure that your child is participating in a safe and friendly environment, and to meet the National Childcare Standards, we will ensure that:

• All staff will follow the Council's guidelines on the reporting of accidents, incidents, child safety and the registration of children.
• All staff will be subject to appropriate checks and undertake initial and ongoing training.
• There will be at least one fully trained first aider at all of our courses.
• Harrogate Borough Council's playschemes have been inspected by, and registered with OFSTED.
