Food Safety
Our food safety service exists to make sure food businesses have clean premises and provide safe food.
All types of food businesses, whether they are supplying or producing food, within the district, are inspected. This is to check if they are meeting the legal requirements and to promote high food safety standards.
If you have a complaint about unsatisfactory food or a food business, we can investigate the matter.
People can be made ill by eating food which has not been stored, prepared or cooked correctly. This can happen in your own home or when you have eaten out.
