Domestic Waste: August Bank Holiday Schedule 2010

Harrogate Borough Council provides a weekly back door, black sack service to its residents.

Where will you collect my rubbish from?

Unless otherwise advised, we will collect your rubbish from the back of your property and leave a maximum of two sacks in replacement.

If it is not possible for the refuse staff to collect the waste from your property you may choose to place the bags on the highway outside your property for collection.  However, this should be done as close as possible to the time of collection and no more than 12 hours before the time of collection. Bags should not be placed on the highway before this time. All bags should be securely tied to prevent litter arising.

Do collection times differ around Bank Holidays?

Yes, some minor changes are made to the collection schedule around these holiday periods.

These collections may be slightly ahead of, or behind the advertised programme so please be patient.

Disruption may also occur during bad weather and industrial action.

The links below provide you with the revised schedules.

We also print the revised schedules on the sacks, as well as deliver leaflets to all households to advise you of changes to collection days.
