The Leisure Development Team provides a range of support and advice to voluntary sector groups, sports clubs, village halls and parish councils on potential funding streams and project planning schemes. The team is responsible for:

• Voluntary Sector liaison for sports clubs' capital schemes
• Capital projects for all council Sport and Leisure schemes
• Management and implementation of the Harrogate District Playing Pitch Strategy
• Development of the Harrogate District Sport and Leisure Facilities Strategy
• Linking with Lottery funding
• Help and advice to Community Groups (see project planning)
• Funding advice to Voluntary Sector Groups i.e. General, Funder Finder, E-newsletter
• Funding related training i.e. Awards for All, Project Development Workshops, Meet the Funder, Event Management
• Support and guidance to Village Halls including a Village Hall get together.
• Grant Administration i.e. Centenary Project, Starbeck Community Fund and Arts & Heritage Grants.
• Harrogate Borough Council Project Support and Research
