When correctly displayed the permit would give your car immunity from the issue of a penalty charge notice. The scheme is designed to stop others parking all day in your road. The permit will give you the best possible chance to park near your home or business. They do not reserve any part of the road, or parking bay, for your use.
The controls do not affect your access to parking or garaging on your own land (e.g. in your driveway). Certain vehicles will also be exempt, for example motorcycles, emergency or utility vehicles and vehicles displaying a Blue Badge.
Restrictions apply on Sundays and Bank Holidays in all parking zones unless otherwise stated.
