BAFTERS Awards
The BAFTERS (Best Action For The
Environment Road Show) is Harrogate District's environmental awards
scheme.
The BAFTERS 2009
The next BAFTERS Awards will take place in Summer 2009.
Aim for a BAFTERS Award - now is the time to get to work on
environmental issues in your school, business or community
group.
What are
the BAFTERS Awards?

The
BAFTERS Awards are a biennial environmental awards scheme, open to
all schools, businesses and community groups in the
Harrogate District.
The awards are a great way to share good ideas, get
recognition for hard work, and celebrate environmental action in
this district.
Special
case studies, showcasing previous
nominees' best environmental action are online. Take a look
and see what you can do too.
All BAFTERS entrants have the chance to
walk the red carpet at the prestigious Awards Ceremony
held in July.
The Awards Ceremony
Guests at the BAFTERS Awards Ceremony enjoy star
treatment, when the red carpet is rolled out for our bi-biennial
Awards Ceremony.
Representatives from all the BAFTERS Nominees attend the
glittering BAFTERS night in July, in the company of the Mayor of
Harrogate.
A well known personality is invited to announce
the winners and present the trophies.
The BAFTERS night is one for everyone to enjoy:-
alongside the red-carpet reception we have the
fantastic Envirozone, featuring games and activities for our
younger guests
In previous years, our BAFTERS reception
featured internationally acclaimed harpist Fiona-Katie Roberts, who
entertained guests on her unique harp, made from reclaimed
aluminium. Organic canapes, and local fruit wines were
served.
No matter what you have done for the environment,
whether it's developing a large environmental project, or just
changing a small part of your lifestyle, everything you and your
school, community group or business does makes a difference.
The BAFTERS Awards are a chance to get
recognition, and be inspired by others.
