York and North Yorkshire Community Foundation
The foundation manages eight funds but only seven are
available to North Yorkshire, they are:
Sky Youth Action Fund
Sky Youth Action Fund is for projects in Harrogate
Borough, Craven District, or Richmondshire District that raise the
aspirations and develop the potential of young people between the
ages of 11 and 21 - developing their creativity, enhancing their
communication skills, preparing them for the world of work, or
building their confidence. Grants are typically between £250
and £3,000.
Community Champions
Community Champions is for projects championed by
volunteers. Communications, sharing ideas and information. Grants
of between £200 and £2,000 are available.
Sport Relief
Sport Relief is looking to support community groups that
are using sport to: increase access to sport and exercise for
people who face social exclusion and isolation; help people
experiencing difficulties in their lives to regain confidence and
self esteem; encourage people to take part in sporting activities
that bring communities together. Grants of between £250 and
£5,000 are available.
Catalyst fund
The Catalyst Fund will make grants up to £1,000 for
locally managed charities and community groups focusing on
community facilities, youth projects or projects for people with
disabilities.
