Squirrel Pest Treatment

Treatment

Red Squirrels are a protected species. Grey Squirrels can be treated, but only if found inside buildings usually the loft space.

Treatment Hours

Treatments are normally carried out during weekday office hours. However, during the peak summer season, longer hours and weekend working is often undertaken.

The Pest Control Officer will advise of your options.

Charge

The current charge for a complete treatment is £59.93 incl VAT for domestic properties (free if on income support or registered disabled). Phone 0845 300 6091 to arrange a pest control visit or to set up a new pest control contract.

Squirrel Traps

Squirrel traps may be available to be rented for £11.75 a month, to capture and dispose of nuisance Grey Squirrels outside. However, you have to agree to:

Check the traps twice a day
Humanely kill the any trapped squirrels
Red Squirrels trapped accidentally must be released

Retreatments

Sometimes treatments need reapplication to fully eradicate a pest. Sometimes, new pests take over the space once occupied by an eradicated pest. Pest Control Officers will decide whether the return of a pest is the same pest requiring a retreatment (which is free), or a new pest infestation requiring a new treatment (which will require payment).
