Work will continue in 2005/2006 to develop the role of Overview and Scrutiny to ensure that non-executive Members can develop and review Council policies and that the Executive's decisions are effectively reviewed and challenged if appropriate.  Key elements of this work are to implement the Action Plan arising from the review of Overview and Scrutiny and to continue to develop training for Members and officers.

 

Members of the public are able to attend some Council meetings.
