Wasps Pest Treatment

Treatment

Wasps are usually dealt with by a single treatment, spraying the entry point of the nest. The Pest Control Officer will need to know the exact location of the wasps' entrance to the nest to carry out the treatment. You can usually see where the wasps are most active - it may be under the eaves of a house or they may be entering an air grate.

We are normally unable to treat Wasp nests above two storeys due to health and safety and insurance concerns.

Treatment Hours
Treatments are normally carried out during weekday office hours. However, during the peak summer season, longer hours and weekend working is often undertaken.
Removal of Empty Wasps Nests

We do not normally remove the wasps nest. If a nest removal is required the Pest Control Officer will advise (each one being a unique situation). There is a charge of £27.61 for removing empty Wasps nests from domestic properties (free if on income support or registered disabled).

Appointments

No appointment is normally needed if the Wasps are outside and the exact location is given. However, if access to the property is secure (eg, through locked or electrical gates) a key holder will have to be present and so an appointment made.

Charge

A Wasp treatment costs £37.60 for domestic properties (free if on income support or registered disabled). Phone 0845 300 6091 to arrange a pest control visit or to set up a new pest control contract.

Retreatments
Sometimes treatments need reapplication to fully eradicate a pest. Sometimes, new pests take over the space once occupied by an eradicated pest. Pest Control Officers will decide whether the return of a pest is the same pest requiring a retreatment (which is free), or a new pest infestation requiring a new treatment (which will require payment).
