Picture Perfect Housing Calendar
26 JULY 2007: TENANTS of Harrogate Borough
Council have taken up the challenge and their cameras to provide
some stunning shots for next year's Tenants'
calendar.
The overall winner is Lesley Peplow of Harewood Road,
Harrogate, whose photograph of a beautiful flower border took first
prize. This will now be used as the front cover
for the calendar, which is used to keep council tenants informed on
housing services and key dates in the year.
Councillor Jean Butterfield, Cabinet Member for Housing, said
the judging panel found it difficult to pick an overall
winner. "This photographic competition is
proving to be very popular. There were many that
came close to taking first prize. I would like
to thank all the tenants who took part and to congratulate them on
their technique. I would also like to thank
those companies who supported us by donating prizes for the winning
entries."
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: 3.00 pm 2
August, Mayor's Parlour, Council Offices,
Harrogate. Councillor Cliff Trotter, Mayor of
the Borough, will present the prizes to the winning
entries.
