Advice available on how to get an Arts Council grant

10 AUGUST 2007:  ARTS Council, Yorkshire, with the support of Harrogate Borough Council's Community Development Team, will be running a seminar in Harrogate to offer advice and assistance for individuals and arts organisations, who are thinking of seeking an art grant.

The seminar, whose purpose is to explain the Arts Council's 'Grants for Arts' programme, will be held between 1.00pm and 3.00pm in the Council Offices, Crescent Gardens, Harrogate on 5 September 2007.

This is a friendly opportunity to meet Arts Council and Harrogate Borough Council representatives and learn about the current priorities and application procedures when applying to the Arts Council for a grant.  The Arts Council covers many art forms including projects that work with young people, community development using the arts, training and development, education and learning using the arts, building projects, event management, business start ups and growth and arts in regeneration.

Please telephone Leilah Vyner on 01423 556702 or e-mail on leilah.vyner@harrogate.gov.uk for more details and to book your place on the seminar.
