Harrogate District has 12 Parks and Gardens (on the Register compiled by English Heritage):  They include the large landscaped gardens of Studley Royal incorporating Fountains Abbey World Heritage Site and the Long Walk, a wooded riverside walk in Knaresborough incorporating Mother Shipton's Cave and the petrifying well.
