Applications requested to Starbeck Community Grant Fund Autumn 2008
16 September 2008 - Twice a year, groups and
societies based in Starbeck near Harrogate are invited to apply for
grants from the Starbeck Community fund, which was created with a
gift of £300,000 following the development of the former
Octavius Atkinson site by Taylor Woodrow. The
fund is also available to individual Starbeck
residents.
The autumn round is now open and applications can be made
until 3 October. Groups are invited to apply for up to £2,000
and individuals are invited to apply for up to £200. This
grant scheme is for projects and individuals in the Starbeck
Ward.
The panel is looking for ideas for increasing access to
voluntary clubs or improving people's quality of
life. They also want to hear from groups who may
need some new equipment that will allow more people to take part in
activities. Anyone wanting to enhance life in
Starbeck should apply.
Please contact Leilah Vyner for a grant form on 01423
556702. You can also download an application
form from the Harrogate Borough Council's web site.

2nd Starbeck Brownies who were awarded £150
towards new arts and craft equipment and materials and storage

recreation / community facilities in Starbeck'. Part of the
interest on the lump sum is paid into this grant scheme and awards
are made twice a year by a rotating Starbeck Community Panel
comprising three members of the Starbeck Residents' Association and
