2009 Rememberance Day services

Harrogate will be remembering our war heroes with a series of parades and services on 8 November.

10.30am
Parade led by the Band of TS Cleopatra will step off from Albert Street
 
10.50am
Service at the War Memorial 
 
Prayers led by Reverend Nicholas Henshall, The Mayor's Chaplain
 
Bible reading (Micah iv l 4) read by Monsignor Donal Lucey, St Robert's RC Church, Harrogate
 
The Act of Rememberance spoken by Mr Gordon Townsley,  Harrogate Victory Branch, The Royal British Legion
 
The Last Post
 
The Silence
 
Kohima Epitath spoken by  Mr Gordon Townsley, Harrogate Victory Branch, The Royal British Legion
 
Reveille
 
The Mayor of the Borough of Harrogate, Councillor Pat Jones, will then lay the first wreath followed by the Deputy Lieutenant and Representatives of the Services, ex-Services and other organisations
 
After the Wreath laying we will have the usual 'March Past' with the Mayor taking the salute. This will be followed by the Service at St Peter's Church at approx 11.20am
 
 
Everyone is welcome to attend this Service.
