Litter Removal
Litter is any discarded items not contained within a receptacle, loose waste probably smaller than a bag of rubbish. If you have litter problems in your area, call 0845 300 6091.
New Litter Bin Requests
There is a constant steady demand for new litter bins, so it may not always be possible to satisfy a request for a new bin. However, if you call 0845 300 6091 we will take your details and respond in writing, telling you how your request is going to be managed.
Flyposting
Call 0845 300 6091to report instances of flyposting.
Shopping Trolleys
If you can see which supermarket the trolley belongs to, you ought to contact them and they will reclaim it. If the trolley has no identification on it, call 0845 300 6091 and we will remove it as part of our flytipping service.
Gum Removal
Removing discarded gum that has been squashed into the pavement requires specialist equipment (which the Council does not have). Therefore, all requests for gum removal are kept by the Street Cleansing Team until sufficient resources are available to organise a special cleansing operation. This may only happen once or twice annually. Call 0845 300 6091to report a gum problem.
