St Robert's Cave
Abbey Road, Knaresborough
Opening Times:

The site is open all reasonable hours.

Admission is free.
Access and Directions:

Saint Robert's Cave is located on Abbey Road in Knaresborough, a few hundred yards from Wetherby Road. The site is marked by a roadside interpretation board. Entry is through a wooden gate at roadside, down to the river via a path and a set of fairly steep steps. Care is needed as the path and steps can be slippery.

Access by car to the cave is difficult and parking is extremely limited. A layby on the roadside will accomodate two vehicles. The best route is a leisurely walk along Abbey Road from the town centre, approximately 25 minutes. Alternatively, parking is available at the St James Retail Park on the A658, and the site is a 10 minute walk.

There are no facilities on the site.
