Council Tax, Business Rates and Benefits

Council Tax

Council Tax is collected to help pay for the cost of local services. Only 15% is kept by Harrogate Borough Council to help provide the full range of its services. The rest is paid over to the North Yorkshire County Council, North Yorkshire Police Authority, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority and various Parish Councils, who all set their own levels of tax. Business Rates

Council Tax Benefit
