Housing
Ensuring people have access to affordable housing opportunities throughout the Harrogate District is one of the Council's main priorities.
The Council provides a wide range of Housing and related services including:
Services for the Council's tenants:
- Managing Tenants' Homes
- Repairing and Improving Tenants' Homes
- Supported Housing for the elderly Sheltered Housing
Services for the wider community, including:
- Housing Advice, and help for those threatened with Homelessness
- New Affordable Housing Provision
- Private Sector Rented Housing
- Help with repairs and improvements in the Private Sector

Harrogate Borough Council operates a Licensing Scheme for Houses in Multiple Occupation which aims to ensure all the properties in the Council area which fall within the scope of the scheme are registered and fully compliant with the Council's Housing Standard.
