Activities for Children & Young People
Harrogate Borough Council's Leisure, Museums and Arts team provide exciting activities for children and young people across the District in our community centres, Brimhams fitness centres, museums, parks, sport & leisure centres and swimming pools.

For pre-schoolers, our full-time Coppice Valley Nursery intake is from 3 months to 5 years and we also have crèche facilities available at several centres.
School holiday playschemes - Holiday Hotspots - for children aged 4 to 12 years are run during every holiday period and the summer programme incorporates playschemes in outlying villages as well as at our leisure and community centres. The playschemes are accessible by all and are regulated and inspected by Ofsted.
During the school term time numerous sports coaching courses, youth clubs, and activity sessions are available. These are run by our own staff and also by external providers who hire our facilities. Through a successful funding bid, PIPA run an inclusive Saturday Club at Fairfax Community Centre.
Children's themed parties can be booked at swimming pools, leisure centres and community centres with self-catering rooms also available for hire.

Anti-bullying Policy
The Council's anti-bullying policy has national recognition in its field. We are committed to the prevention and effective management of bullying behaviour relating to children and young people using our services and facilities.
