The grounds surrounding Knaresborough Castle provide a haven in the centre of the town. The grassed areas are enhanced with mature trees and flowerbeds. The winning design of Knaresborough In Bloom's Design A Flowerbed competition is planted in the Castle Yard each summer.

A Pay and Display car park is situated alongside the Castle Yard.

The grounds are open all year round, 24 hours a day.
The outdoor games season runs from April to October. As times
